While an unfixed lifestyle has it's own challenges, there are also presumed principles that anyone can apply towards a life well-lived. Read on to discover how these lessons can serve your own journey.
1- Just take a risk already!
Yes, risks are scary. Why with all the possibilities of things going awry, rejection, status quo disruption, and a bajillion other things, it's no wonder folks avoid taking risks. But any free spirit will tell you - taking risks open the path to new experiences, possibilities, and solutions. Instead of focusing on what can go wrong, think of all the things that could go right! As a Capricorn with a built in risk radar, I'm obliged to mention that calculated risks are always best. Take risks but exercise good judgement and stay aligned with your highest truth.
2- Keep it moving and DO NOT settle.
The essence of a nomadic lifestyle is movement. There's so much to do and see! Sometimes when we're avoiding risks, we actually end up settling for what's familiar and safe. Gypsies know when it's time fire up the caravan and move on. We know that this lifetime and our mother earth has too much to offer for us to ever settle for what's not fulfilling on a deep and meaningful level - regardless of comfort and security.
3- Savor the moments.
Being on the move gives one an inherent agility in the process of endings and beginnings. Since we know all things must come to an end, we're naturally inclined to savor the present. Relationships, experiences... everything must be taken in fully for what it is at that moment. Everything about where you are right now (in time, space or both) is special; the people in your life, the landscape, the unique pulse of day to day life, even the alchemy of geographical energies integrating with your soul's expression and evolution. Everything is fleeting and therefore precious.
4- Never lose hope.
I believe all gypsy folks are serial hopefuls. Having an expansive mindset means we're always looking forward to the next adventure, chapter, or opportunity with anticipation that it's going to be great. Having hope for a positive outcome is the first step to actually manifesting one.
5- Enjoy the journey.
Journeying from one location or phase to the next is a masterful production! There's calculating, finalizing, moving, packing, planning, safe guarding, scheduling, traveling and so... much... more! Still, we gypsies find joy in every bit of it. We know there's joy in changing landscapes, joy in discovering new levels of adaptability, joy in cultivating newness, joy in letting go and moving onward/upward.
How can you embrace some of these lessons in your own life?
Be blessed, be beautiful. Be blessed, beautiful!
